Asset Files

Asset files refer to any resources outside of HTML markup that style and add functionality to your website. The most common type of assets are CSS, JavaScript, Fonts, and Images. In this article, we will show you how to place your assets in Solodev in an organized fashion that makes it easy to include them in your HTML files.

Below is a typical hierarchy in Solodev that shows an asset folder.

Note: Notice how the assets folder is in the www directory despite being referenced in HTML files in the web files directory. The reasoning behind this is that the www directory is where your web pages live so storing your assets there ensures a consistent path to your assets as they live in the same directory.
